The Rides We Couldn't Find
A&W Transport began with a personal struggle. When Ajia's daughter was born with special needs, frequent hospital visits meant long, difficult trips on public transit that often felt unsafe and unreliable. Later, when her son needed regular physical therapy, she saw how much a dependable medical ride could change a family's week. Those experiences showed her a gap in our community, and she set out to fill it for others.
Through The Door, Not The Curb
We believe transportation should feel personal, not transactional. That is why we offer door-through-door assistance, helping passengers from inside their home to inside their destination rather than leaving them at the curb. We keep our vehicles clean and non-smoking, we plan around your schedule, and we work to keep our rates affordable through private pay and CareCredit. Every passenger is treated with the patience and respect we would want for our own family.
A Seat For Every Neighbor
Our doors are open to the whole community. We serve seniors, patients with mobility challenges, students, and anyone who needs a safe, reliable way to reach care or run errands, regardless of age or income. We also partner with caregivers, case managers, and healthcare facilities who coordinate transportation for the people in their charge. Wherever the need is in Wilson County, we are glad to help close the gap.
Meet Our Founder
A&W Transport is led by its founder, Ajia, who spent years in healthcare, healthcare staffing, and human resources before starting the company. As a former State Tested Nurse Aide, she learned firsthand what patients, caregivers, and providers truly need from a transportation service. That experience shapes every part of how we operate, from the way we greet passengers to the care we take on the road. Ajia built A&W around a simple belief, that getting to care should never be the hardest part of someone's day.
